I'm still waiting on the other halves of the art trades, but the one's that have been completed you should check them out. ^^ I requested from each a picture of my character Arigoth. Still waiting for at least line arts to be placed up before I decide to do another trade.... so sorry I still want to do a trade with you ^^ just it's going to have to wait a bit. Video Game Course

This week I am taking a free course in learning the basics of putting together a 3D video game. It's quite fun and very, very interesting. Everyone ((only 7 students and 1 teacher)) in my class are awesome. They're a great bunch of people to spend 6hrs a day with, for chatting and learning. There is so much to learn about putting together a game.... I expected as much and more so I'm ready to be taught.

In the first 3 days we've learned to edit shapes, colors, camera, lighting.... We've recently made our own levels ~ or terrians... pretty much, everyone has made their own little lands in a 3D modeler which is free. I've made a forest setting with a cabin and lakes... volcano and mountains and wild animals.... so on. We learned how to animate some things and add particles to objects (( particles are the special effects/animations ... say when a sword hits a wall and you see sparks, or you see fire - those are animated particles.))

From learning these things, I recently play Twilight Princess, which I like and thought and still do admire the work put into it... but I realized some of the things I admired in the game is so simple to make.
We also learned a tad about making our own music.
Tomorrow I believe we'll be making our levels more game like, where things will be able to hurt your character when you walk near them. Have traps, be able to die and possible have health.
We can walk around our levels and it is first person... so indeed, I am really interested in it. ^^ I wish this course was longer, but it's free. So Good practice and maybe an option to aim for in the future.
